Projects
At the start of the Cycling City York programme, we asked residents what would encourage them to start cycling or to cycle more. We had a terrific response. More than 9,000 of you participated in our cycling survey and your feedback guided us throughout the three year initiative.
From organising bike maintenance courses to running cycle rides led by volunteers, we have worked hard to increase the number of people cycling to and from work, school or college, and in their leisure time.
We work closely with our chosen delivery partners - Get Cycling, Cycle Experience and the CTC - to deliver a variety of innovative projects and activities.
Here are few examples:
- Beauty and the Bike
- Bike club
- Bikes not Barriers
- Fit as a Fiddle
- Momentum on 2 Wheels
- Sustrans Bike It
