What are news feeds?
News feeds (also known as RSS feeds) allow you to see when websites have added new content. You can get the latest headlines without having to visit the website you have taken the feed from.

is used to indicate a news feed.

How do I start using feeds?
In order to subscribe to a news feed you need an RSS news reader. There are several types of news readers available, some that you can download and run on your computer and others that are web-based. The following are some examples of what is available:
- NewsGator provides free readers for Windows, Mac or iPhone
- Google Reader is a free web-based news reader
- Microsoft Outlook is part of the widely-known Office suite of programs
- Mozilla Firefox is a free web browser which includes an RSS news reader
