The Plessey Tour of Devon 2017

On September 7th, you are invited to the 105-mile long Plessey Tour of Devon that starts at the Moorland Garden Hotel in Plymouth. You will be riding through the scenic Devon while bringing your support to the Prostate Cancer UK organization. So, prepare for an amazing day on your bike through the English countryside.

About 100 riders are expected on September 7th in Devon at 7.30 am. There are 2 tour packages to choose from:
– Basic entry: £100
– All inclusive entry: £400.

Both of them bring you a cycling jersey, free refreshments at 2 organised stops, a buffet lunch in Exeter, a goodie bag, and support from medical staff and mechanics throughout the day.

In addition to these features, the £400 package includes a pre-ride dinner and accommodation on September 6th, a post-ride dinner on the evening of September 7th plus accommodation for the night.

The organizer offers certain facilities like onsite parking, toilets, water stations, changing facilities and supervised bag storage. You can even shower or get a professional massage. There are road markers and Marshalls will accompany the riders for the entire route. Medical support will also be available for anyone in need.

You will be passing through Okehampton, Crediton, Exeter across the river Exe toward Chudleigh and then down to Bovey Tracey where you will stop to rest. The race continues through Haytor on the eastern edge of Dartmoor. After you’ve gone past the hardest part of the race, you will have one more obstacle at Princetown. After that, go across the moors and continue downhill to the finish line.

Along the way, there will be 3 stops at pubs: the Fountain Inn (Fore Street, Okehampton), the Mill on the Exe (Bonhay Road, Exeter), and the Old Inn (Windecombe in the Moor, Newtown Abbot).
